About This Event: The BEST USAT Sanctioned Half/Aquabike in Texas! This is the 5th Year for the PrairieMan 1/2 Iron Distance Triathlon & PrairieMan Aquabike. This 1.2 mile swim-56 mile bike-13.1 mile run Tri takes place at Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie. Swim is in clean Joe Pool Lake. The 4 loop Bike course takes place on flat, fast Lake Ridge Parkway & HWY 360 south. The run is totally within the park and is an out and back. Race info: www.ironheadrp.com. USA Triathlon sanctioned. Refunds: 50 percent thru June 30 & 25 percent thru Aug 3. NO REFUNDS after Aug 3. Absolutely NO TRANSFERS or ROLLOVERS. Limited to 800 entrants. New for 2008, PrairieMan Sprint Triathlon! All on the Prairieman course. Swim 500 meters-bike 27 km-run 5km and then watch the long course folks battle it out.

PrairieMan Half : A Texas size Event
This event drew 400 plus in it's 2004 debut. The bike & run are mostly flat. The swim is a single triangular loop. There is an 8 hour time limit for all competitors with a 7 AM start time. All athletes MUST be off the course by 3:30 PM. Bike course closes @ 1PM. No exceptions! 6 wave swim start. Part of the USA Triathlon National Grand Prix Long Course Triathlon Series. Each competitor receives a dri-fit competitor shirt and all Half Iron finishers receive a distinctive finishers shirt. Keep in mind there are no wetsuits allowed in this race!

Waiver and Release
USAT Waiver will be signed at packet pick-up. All entrants/competitors will be required to sign USAT waiver and pick up their own packet. No one will be permitted to collect another entrant's packet. NO Race day Packet Pick-up. Picture ID required. I understand there is NO race day packet pick up.
