Ironhead Race Productions is sad to announce

That due to very low response, less then 65 entrants with only 3 weeks out and the high costs (Police requirements, pool rental and timing) we can not justify producing this event. Therefore we are canceling the event. It would be financially irresponsible for us to produce this event at a substantial loss. For this event to at least cover the two aforementioned costs would require a minimum of 200 entrants. This does not count t-shirts and awards. We are sorry for any inconvience by this late notice but we waited as long as we could before making this decision. This has no impact on our remaining events which are filling at their normal rates. Good financial planning requires a fair expectation that folks will sign up in a reasonable amount of time. This apparently was not the case with this event.
As a result of this cancellation we are offering two (2) options:

You can roll your entry over to one of the following events:

Metroplex Sprint Open Water Tri on June 11-12, 2011

Mansfield Sprint Tri (Pool Swim) on June 19, 2011

Iron Bothers Open Water Tri on July 9-10

Roll overs must be to us by April 30, 2011, no exceptions!

or

Request a refund. We need you decision by April 14, 2011. Failure to inform us will leave you with only the "roll over"option above.

About This Event:

This is a 300 yard Pool swim in Cleburne City Natatorium, 15.2 mile hilly bike and a 5 km run. Limited to 500 individual entrants. Very popular event that we expect to sell out. USA Triathlon sanctioned. Absolutely NO REFUNDS or TRANSFERS. Confirmation/race instructions sent by e-mail.

Cleburne's Ironhorse Sprint Tri: A history of railroads
This Pool Swim race offers one of the fastest bike course and a fast road run course. Challenging and scenic with bike course with an in city run on city streets. Bike is 15.2 miles of rolling hills. Limited to 500 entrants.

Waiver and Release
USAT Waiver will be signed at Packet Pick-up. All entrants/competitors will be required to sign the USAT Waiver and pick up their OWN packet. NO one will be permitted to collect another entrant's packet. NO Race day packet pick-up. Picture ID required.
